Rush hour in the north east of Meadows ward

Buses can lose about 3 minutes or more in such queues; maybe there’s sufficient land to widen to allow an extra inbound bus lane.

Checking out the behaviour of traffic along London Road, Queens Road and Meadows Way east, and wandering around Eugene Gardens.
Traffic queued along Meadows Way east from 8:35 to 9:10. No doubt it may vary on different working days. Some poor behaviour from traffic egressing from Castle Bridge Road.

Ground works by a resident.

Seeing more dramatic ground works done (by the council, and by one resident!); potholes to report, ditto poor waste bin management, and new trees along Lammas Gardens. And the mural under the tram bridge at the railway station drop-off point to celebrate (painted last November).

  1. Try standing on Wilford Crescent East at going home time. The road was not built to accommodate so many vehicles. Robin Hood Way is used by many to park. It is quite dangerous for pedestrians and other road users. Don’t wait until there has been an accident. People are also parking in the community centre car park, then getting the tram. I suppose the people who park in Meadows are trying to avoid paying workplace parking levy. Why not charge for parking on Robin Hood Way?
