Plenty of people supporting Lilian, and even those who hadn’t made their mind up were happy to pose for a photo.
And the food was special.
Especially from the Indian group from the Picture Works on Queens Road.
Over 500 (best ever) attended the Spring Open Day at the Arkwright Meadows Community Gardens.
So much put on, including – Face-painting. Range of food. Weigh the cake. Ping pong. Tombola. More cakes. Friends of Meadows Library held a stall. Singers. Samba dancing.
And the DJ put on “Lion Rock” by Culture – just the best.
Also – Facebook album presentation.
Paddy Tipping lived in The Meadows for 10 years;
New flowers in Kirkewhite Court;
New council housing in Tarbett Close;
A new flowerbed in a Colliery Cllose planter;
Cherry blossom along Wilford Grove, where we have just lost a tree to disease.
Commissioned by Nottingham City Homes, and supplied by Arkwright Meadows Community Gardens, with an agreement from local residents to maintain the new beds.
