Moonlight with Moneypenny

Moonlight – went cos another film was sold out – and blimey, what a surprise.
“At once a vital portrait of contemporary African American life and an intensely personal and poetic meditation on identity, family, friendship, and love, MOONLIGHT is a groundbreaking piece of cinema that reverberates with deep compassion and universal truths. Anchored by extraordinary performances from a tremendous ensemble cast, Barry Jenkins’s staggering, singular vision is profoundly moving in its portrayal of the moments, people, and unknowable forces that shape our lives and make us who we are.” – someone else, on Google.
Blimey” – me.  Moonlight is a tough watch – jeopardy in realistic scenarios.
And it can be hard to follow – some of the accents and language are even harder to grasp than Geordie.
Didn’t realise it  was Moneypenny playing the mother!  “Naomie Harris shot all of her scenes in three days without rehearsals ….” – wikipedia.  Blimey again.
Locations were great, but as for The Moorside, I wonder if Liberty City, Miami thought it reflected fairly on them. And yet another film to be about individuals with no role for services in helping people sort their problems.
