First part of Lilian Greenwood’s tour of The Meadows, a visit to Ubuntu, an out of school club, based at Queens Walk Community Centre.
And the poor kids (around 20) had to suffer my telling about how Gotham (Goat-ham) the Notts village, became Gotham (Goth-em), Batman’s version of New York city.

But we also picked up on how they enjoyed school (most of them), enjoyed the parks & their play equipment (all of them) and were doing the Summer Reading Challenge (most of them).
And then it’s some of the little things that get said, and you think, oh, OK.
Meanwhile, a parent made a strong case for getting some play equipment installed on The Green.
