Owen Smith in Loughborough

Owen speaks well, and free from the burden of the stale funk that has fallen upon mainstream Labour since the 2008 financial crash, cos he says we needed a bit of ooomph.

He is a better advocate for Labour than Jeremy Corbyn.
Clearly proud of forcing 2 defeats on the Government whilst being the Shadow Minister for the Department for Works and Pensions, which he’d scrap and of getting rid of Iain Duncan Smith.  (Nor will he refer to benefits, but to social security.)

I asked him about pharmaceuticals and he said it was one of the top 3 performing sectors in the British economy.  Important to us in Nottingham cos of Bio-City and Boots.
