Sadiq Khan’s victory

Great, wannit.

Numbers were great, when Labour was apparenly only 1 point ahead of the Conservatives nationally.

And the victory was great.  I became aware of something being up when a Nottingham community activist told a meeting of fellow minds that “Muslim otherness” was back; a reaction to David Cameron’s allegations about Sadiq Khan and ISIS made during Prime Minister’s Questions.  The dog whistle was blown, repeated and then debated – and the people rejected it.

Sadiq came to The Meadows for Paddy’s first Police Commissioner election in October 2012.

Shame about the count.  I suffered Sky News all evening so as not to miss it, but post election day, just had to give up.
