Preparing to celebrate the new Meadows Cricket Pavilion

This morning, we celebrate the efforts made by the Trent Bridge Community Trust and Nottingham City Council, and fifty other firms, to build a new cricket pavilion at the Meadows Recreation Ground. Graeme Swann and Simon Jones expected to be there, as well as hopefully some England players. Event at 10am, so get there just before and cricket fans – bring stuff to get signed. Pavilion to be bigger and accessible to all, but designed by Mabers in the style of the 1906 pavilion it replaces. Works have started and hope is it will be completed in December. Trust will then drive campaign to get more cricket played at the MRG. Nicola Heaton and Lilian Greenwood MP attending.
