Pause on Midland Main Line electrification exposed

Placed a question at full council and I’ll publish points from the reply soon.
I am frustrated the proposals to withdraw planning powers from councils announced by the Conevive on Friday in the name of productivity come after the delay (at best) of electrification, and after a Budget where projections show productivity falling for the next 3 years.

Meanwhile, Lilian Greenwood MP has tweeted – “DfT in chaos tonight. First they denied electrification costs known before election. Now Minister admits they were.”
