Ryder Cup trumps British nationalism

Screenshot (205)c0437h Nigel Farage Paddy PowerThe Nigel Farage advert for Paddy Power is funny first time around and well performed.
— No, I’m not one of the apparent Labour politicians looking to defect to UKIP —
I wonder if any Labour MP could really be thinking that way – a claim too far by Farage.

Part of the advert’s joke is having the anti-EU politician saying “Come on Europe”, save of course he worked in the city, has a German wife and is making an advert for an Irish company. So he gets the value of Europe and international business. ‘No hypocrisy here.’
But hang on. The Ryder Cup is an example of Britain, and indeed the US, doing better, because Britain realised we couldn’t do it well enough alone.
